Work Management Scheduler

West
US Navy, O-3

I resigned my commission as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy in December 2005, and, after taking some time off, started looking for work in November 2007. Orion International came to my attention by reading through the Military Officers Association of America’s monthly newsletter. Since deciding to look for a new career with Orion, I have worked with Bill Fitzgerald, as well as with multiple other Orion staffers. All the Orion personnel that I dealt with have done an impressive job of applying my military experience to a wide range of civilian opportunities.

I attended the November hiring conference and also had Orion’s San Diego office working diligently to find me the right fit in a timely manner. Thanks to the San Diego office, I will begin my civilian career as the Work Management Scheduler for Mirant Corporation. Not only is this the type of environment I wanted to work in, but the location is close to my home, and the salary meets my financial needs.

I highly recommend Orion International to any and all transitioning military personnel. Having been in contact with multiple agencies, I would place Orion International above and beyond their competition. Also, JP Sniffen, my recruiter is a savvy, knowledgeable, and effective recruiter. Without his hard work and determination to find me the right fit, I would not be in the position I am today.
