Position Details:
Title: Operations Shift Manager
Location: Middletown, OH (Cincinnati/Dayton)
Shift: Rotating shift schedule 7 days on 7am-3pm; 1 day off; 7 days on 3-11pm; 2 days off; 7 days on 11pm-7am; 4 days off for long weekend. Key is to be completely flexible.
Compensation: $75K-$85K starting base salary + straight time O/T pay (~15-20%) + target 15% bonus incentive plan of your base salary paid quarterly based on safety, quality, environmental plant performance & company profit + eligible annual pay increases based on performance reviews + relocation assistance. Total 1st Year $85K-$110K+

Position Description: The Operations Shift Manager is the front-line Production supervisor working rotating shifts within a steel manufacturing operation responsible for leading and directing the activities of ~15 hourly Production operators and associates on a rotating shift basis in all aspects of Production Operations to meet/exceed unit objectives involving safety, quality, and productivity. Key responsibilities include:
• Schedule and assign work for all production and operations activities.
• Lead and handle safety contacts, observations, and meetings and daily shift production meetings.
• Analyze production and operations needs and ensure operational reliability for optimal production.
• Develop production & operations activities, including development and implementation of production & operations plans, including scheduling, support, inventory, reliability, and improvement.
• Plan and coordinate production & operations activities with departments to assure the safe and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repair activities.
• Lead & support the troubleshooting of operational/production work failures to determine root causes.

Requirements: A successful candidate will be a transitioning military or military veteran candidate who is a very sharp NCO, ideally Navy, with strong leadership and significant direct leadership responsibility & accomplishment with 7-10+ years of excellent operations leadership performance and direct leadership supervision of enlisted or industry personnel. Experience leading in a structured but dynamic demanding environment is required. Candidates must have excellent decision-making, planning, coordination, strong organization and effective communication, and a focused top-priority on safety.
