Description
Field Service Technician
Location: Can be located anywhere if within 1 hr to major airport
Compensation: $28/hr
Benefits: Individual coverage provided by company – 3 weeks PTO starting out/5 personal days
Company CC provided for business expenses (CC points are technicians to use as they see fit)
Base set of tools provided by company.
Shift: 2 weeks on 1 weekend home
(Standard hours are from M-F 8-5. However, hours can shift depending on the type of job and the customer’s needs. There will be a substantial amount of OT during the week and some Saturdays with the occasional Sunday. (typical schedule for an installation: Travel Mon, Work Tues-Sat, off Sun, continue/finish install Mon - Thurs, travel home on Fri).
Travel: 80-90% ($59/day per diem) Nationwide job sites with opportunities for international down the road.
Position Description:
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site support to our customers,
installation, troubleshooting and repairing a variety of equipment, and ensuring the efficient
operation of our products. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background,
excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations to install, maintain, and repair equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues with precision and efficiency.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Document and report service activities and maintain accurate records.
- Provide training and guidance to customers on the use and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent technical degree or certification is a plus.
- PLC knowledge
- Electro-mechanical background
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
