4 Strategies for Fixing your Outdated Recruiting Budget

The budget season may be months away, but, according to Mike Starich, CEO of Orion Talent, now is a good time to make your budget work for you throughout the year. In his article for Recruiting Daily, “How can talent acquisition budgeting be a better process?” Mike explains that the need to fix the budgeting process is even more urgent, with decreasing long-term labor availability, increasing recruiting costs, new recruiting technology, and an increasing emphasis on employer branding.

Mike gives four strategies for creating realistic budgets. Included are tracking your true spend, getting better at data control, communicating directly and frequently with business leaders and managers, and improving performance metrics. He provides specific advice on how to accomplish each step, helping to unify business strategy, operations, HR, and TA.
