Maintenance Technician is also responsible for the optimum utilization of available resources such as manpower, equipment, time, etc.
Key responsibilities include:
• Perform needed maintenance on equipment and direct support of production operating needs. Evaluate equipment operation and suggest necessary action when malfunctions occur or improvements are needed

• Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, and pumps; repair or replace control devices such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, motor starters, etc. as needed; perform work order repairs, inspections and adjustments; able to set up and operate power tools, drill motor, circular saw, welders, drill press, bench grinder, band saw; hand tools and other metal working equipment; fabrication and modification of new and existing equipment; participate in plant safety, health and environmental programs; other duties as assigned.

Position Details:
Location: Terrell, TX

Shift: There are 2 openings at the Terrell, TX Plant. The day shift position will be scheduled to work 4:00AM – 4:30PM. The night shift, 4:00PM-4:00AM. This plant runs 24/7, so incumbent ill have rotating 2-day break (off Monday, Tuesday one week, then Tuesday, Wednesday, then Wednesday, Thursday…etc.).
Compensation: Total 1st Year Compensation will be $75,000-$100,000+. The pay range is $27.44 – $28.97 per/hour. There is a shift differential of $1.00 for working second shift and this schedule has 20 hours of overtime already built in. There is also a 1K sign-on bonus!

Requirements: 3-5+ years on maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair in an industrial/manufacturing environment associated with engineering or maintenance activity (military service will apply).

Position – Industrial Mechanic – Night Shift

Perform preventive maintenance duties; make repairs and modifications to production equipment; troubleshoot, check out and start up new plant equipment. Upgrade skill level in production maintenance to keep up with advances in technology and automation in the production processes.

Position Details:

Location: Austin, TX

Schedule: Shifts run 6:00PM to 6:00AM – 3 days on / 2 days off – 2 days on / 3 days off. Plus 10% shift differential on for nights. Every other weekend will be a 3 day weekend!

Salary: $25-$27/hr based on experience; 62k-66k/yr based on straight shift. Additional OT may be available but isn’t guaranteed.


Make repairs or modifications to production equipment utilizing the following skills: read pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, ladder logic and electrical schematics; utilize basic electronic test equipment (volt/ohm meter, megger and amp meter); pneumatics and electrical controls, pipefitting, welding and general mechanic skills.
Installation, checkout, and start-up of new or modified plant production equipment.
Perform PM's on production equipment and determine through these regular inspections, the repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent failure of production equipment.
Complete required documentation of PM's and other repairs on time and accurately.
Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot production equipment/process to make repairs and improvement and minimize downtime.
Effectively communicate, verbally and/or written, to supervisor/manager, customers, Dispatch and peers in a professional manner regarding equipment repairs or problems.
Contact vendors, research problems and potential components, order maintenance machine parts. Track and turn in repair parts. Elevate part issues to supervisor/management quickly with potential solutions if known.
Assist with facts and details for formal investigations as requested.
Establish communication, upload and download PLC programs, troubleshoot using ladder logic.
Develop and implement safety related improvements jointly with your supervisor. Maintain safety related guards and other systems on your equipment. Review and implement corrections to Lockout/Tagout procedures and drawings as required.
Train other mechanics as requested. Must become a qualified fellow employee (QFE) when directed by supervisor.
Complete all required training on time including any TPC, safety, GMP, or CAPA related training as assigned.
Maintain plant tools, calibrated instruments and tool boxes in compliance with SOP.
Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOP's and plant policies/rules.
Work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of employees.
Evaluate rejects to determine corrective action.
Effectively and efficiently determine equipment issues to minimize downtime and manage cost.
Actively communicate throughout every day with the production operators regarding equipment or process issues. Elevate those issues and work with the supervisor as directed to correct them.
Work on special projects as they arise

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Must be able to use tools such as, but not limited to, voltage and amperage meters, oscilloscope, megger, hand tools, welders, sheet metal equipment, measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers, and PLC's and associated software.
Minimum five years related industrial mechanical or industrial electrical experience OR completion of two year applicable technical school and three years related industrial mechanical or industrial electrical experience.
Must be able to use Outlook mail. (Excel and Microsoft Word preferred).
Must be able to work overtime as needed (including weekends), adjust schedule quickly, and willing to be called in to meet operational demands to minimize downtime. Maintain and provide company with current working phone number.
May be required to become Qualified Fellow Employee (QFE) and/or instruct other employees as needed.
