In May, Orion matched our 40,000th Veteran with a rewarding career, and soon after Orion International became Orion Talent. 

This change aligns with our commitment to grow our services to meet our clients' ever-expanding talent acquisition needs. We focus all of our energies on putting talented Veterans to work, and now our name reflects that commitment and the expansion of our services to deliver even more great talent to American businesses.

What Orion Talent's New Name Means For You

If you have been following our blog, you are familiar with the fact that Orion International is now Orion Talent. As our services expand, our logo evolves, and our name changes, military job seekers may wonder what this means for our career placement services for JMOs, NCOs, and Enlisted Technicians. Simply put, Orion Talent’s commitment to helping veterans through their civilian career transition is unwavering.

Founded by five military officers more than 26 years ago, we focus all our energy on putting talented veterans to work, and our name now reflects that. Orion’s Virtual Hiring Conference Overview

On June 14th, Orion Talent wrapped up a successful Virtual Hiring Conference for Military Officers. Top name companies like CONMED, Eversource Energy, and StandardAero to name a few, interviewed nearly 40 Military Officers for a number of positions including Project Manager, Quality Engineer, Process Engineer and many more. Within days of the event, many candidates have already received and accepted job offers, and several others are advancing in the hiring process with one or multiple companies.

National Distinguished Candidate Conference - August 28-29 in Northern NJ and October 2-3 in Atlanta, GA

National Distinguished Candidate Hiring Conference

Are you preparing to exit the military and begin a civilian career? Do you think that your education, background, and military career distinguish you from your peers? We are looking for top performing Military Officers with the following criteria:

  • Graduates of Military Service Academies or Top Universities
  • Those with a masters degree or other advanced education; and
  • Those that have consistently ranked above their peers in Evaluations.

Additionally, you should be available to start working within the next four months and be geographically flexible.

Orion Talent's National Distinguished Candidate Conferences will be held on August 28-29 in Northern NJ and October 2-3 in Atlanta, GA. There will be positions available nationwide, with a focus on Engineering, Sales, Leadership Development, and Operations Management. Orion carefully selects candidates for our DCCs that exemplify the best Orion has to offer our client companies.

Shane Serafin, a former Navy Lieutenant and USNA graduate who found his career through a recent Orion DCC, explains why he feels the event was such a success: "An Orion Distinguished Candidate Conference is something that you don't want to miss. As an Officer Recruiter, you will be responsible for sourcing, marketing, consulting, and evaluating prospective candidates. This is your opportunity to assist your fellow Veterans, while gaining invaluable Sales and Marketing experience in a high-paced environment. You will be trained by a recruiting team with over 40 years of combined experience in this industry, as well as be a part of the all veteran team at Orion Talent

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and working closely with America's leading companies in order for them to hire transitioning military veterans and develop smarter hiring programs. The work you do will help fellow veterans transition into the civilian workforce. Average total first year income for Account Executives is $80K+, with a goal of $100K+ in your second year and beyond. In addition to unlimited salary potential and a comprehensive benefits package, Orion provides additional reward and recognition to our top performers.
