Orion Thanks Enterprise for Its Donation to Operation Military Embrace
Orion wishes to thank Enterprise Holdings Corporation for its $3,000 donation to Operation Military Embrace. Orion and Enterprise have had an ongoing relationship for several years, and we are very appreciative of the generosity of Enterprise Holdings.
Enterprise Holdings, Inc. is a privately owned holding company headquartered in Clayton, MO. It is the parent company of several car rental companies, including Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Alamo, National Car Rental, and Enterprise CarShare. Enterprise was founded in 1957 by Jack Taylor, who served as a Fighter Pilot in World War II.
Operation Military Embrace (“OME”) is a Texas-based non-profit support organization with active officers, directors and volunteers committed to helping wounded warriors and their families. OME’s primary goal is to provide financial and moral support to assist wounded Warriors and their families during their time of critical need. OME is dedicated to supporting injured and/or ill members of all branches and units of the military. OME also works to increase public awareness of the challenges facing members of the military. For more information about OME, visit the website.
According to OME President, Jerry Reed:
"Wow -- This generous donation from Enterprise is so very much appreciated!! Today we attended the retirement ceremony for an injured Marine in San Antonio, Texas. This is part of our OME function to honor, serve and support America’s injured Warriors and their families, and it was really an inspirational event that touched our hearts. Orion has truly been a blessing to America’s injured and ill Warriors and their families through the vessel that is OME."
Orion is so appreciative of our ability to bring together great companies like Enterprise with our dedicated nonprofit partners.
National Distinguished Candidate Conference - April 25-26, 2016 in Philadelphia & June 6-7 in San Diego
Are you preparing to exit the military and begin a civilian career? Do you think that your education, background, and military career distinguish you from your peers?
If so, you may be a candidate for Orion's National Distinguished Candidate Conference (DCC) in Philadelphia, PA, on April 25-26 and in San Diego, CA on June 6-7, 2016. There will be positions available nationwide, with a focus on Engineering, Sales, Leadership Development, and Operations Management. Orion carefully selects candidates for our DCCs that exemplify the best Orion has to offer our client companies. We work hard to assemble a select group of the top JMOs from around the country.
Our distinguished candidates include:
- Graduates of Military Service Academies or Top Universities
- Those with a masters degree or other advanced education; and
- Those that have consistently ranked above their peers in Officer Evaluations.
Additionally, you should be available to start working within the next four months and be geographically flexible.
Shane Serafin, a former Navy Lieutenant and USNA graduate who found his career through a recent Orion DCC, explains why he feels the event was such a success: "An Orion Distinguished Candidate Conference is something that you don't want to miss. It is a golden opportunity to meet with several prospective employers all at once, all of them very high quality. And Orion prepares you well. I particularly liked the interview prep session during this conference. It helped me to tweak a few of my responses in a manner that paid major dividends during the interviews!"
Orion only holds a few DCCs each year. Click here to be considered for one of the upcoming Orion DCC hiring conferences.

According to Your Peers
"I left the military September of 2015, and I had begun my search for a civilian job months prior. I was a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst for the Ohio Air National Guard, working alongside the active duty Air Force on Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
I am currently a Business Development Manager in the Southeast region of KanPak LLC. I felt as if my recruiters primary goal was finding me a job, and I really felt they were out there helping me at all times. Orion went above and beyond on multiple occasions and I really felt like I had Orion in my corner fighting for me."- Donald Noah, Business Development Manager
"I left the military in May 2016, and began looking for a job in April 2015. I was just about to lose faith in the process when I got the exact job that I really wanted! I learned how to troubleshoot and problem solve in a chaotic and fast changing environment, this really prepared me for my civilian career. Thanks for everything, Orion!" - Matt Donelan, Sales Education Representative
"As an Intelligence Officer I was trained in giving briefs and influencing decision makers. These traits, paired with the confidence the military gave me, will be invaluable in a sales environment. Orion helped me land a career with Siemens as a Service Sales – Account Executive. Orion met my needs and exceeded my expectations. They helped me from start to finish in the hiring process. From resume writing to negotiating salary. Thank you again for the help! I will be recommending your services to all of my military friends!" - Beau Bommer, Services Sales – Account Executive
