Position Details:
Title: Chassis Mobile Mechanic
Location: Indian Head Park, IL
Shift: Mon – Fri 7:00am-4:30pm
Travel: Local travel throughout the area. A company truck will be provided.
Compensation: $24-$32/hour + OT + 7.5% bonus potential EVERY quarter + $5k Sign on bonus (½ on 1st check, ½ at 6 months)

Position Description:
Perform mechanical repairs and inspections in both a depot/repair facility environment as well as roadside environment. Will perform all types of chassis repairs including brakes and wheel end repairs, welding (stick welding in the mobile trucks), cutting with a torch and repairing and replacing parts on the chassis using standard repair tools. Will handle lights, tires, flaps, safety latches, troubleshoot ABS etc. Will work on repairs at a warehouse, possibly on the side of road, but all outdoor settings repairs will be performed to FMCSA standards and completed based on written estimates.
• Use of mobile app to log work orders and document repairs
Requirements:
• 2-years of experience in trailer/chassis mechanics, usage and customary repair methods
• FMCSA and brake certifications required and knowledge of AAR, IICL and DOT rules and criteria
• Ability to work independently, efficiently and without direct supervision and able to lift 50lbs
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Read/interpret documents: safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Must be willing to work all shifts as required with the potential to work weekends (as needed)
• *Must have a valid drivers license, clean MVR, pass 7 years to lifetime background check, drug testing (CBD use prohibited)
