Description

Position Details:

• Title: Metrology Specialist
• Location: Raleigh, NC
• Shift: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm
• Travel: Minimal, this is an onsite position
• Compensation: $65k to $75K (depending on experience and location) plus yearly bonus (10%)
• Benefits: Includes excellent medical benefits package, to include major medical, vision and dental and employee only pays 10% of actual benefit costs. 401K with 100% company match up to 6%. Paid vacation- 3 weeks to start. Nine company holidays. Full expense reimbursement on all company related travel and expenses.

Position Description:

• Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to solve technical issues and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on the latest metrology techniques, technologies, and best practices through training programs and self-study to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Implement corrective actions as needed to address deviations and ensure conformance to quality standards.
• Collaborate with external calibration laboratories and service providers to facilitate timely calibrations, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate documentation of calibration records, certificates, and instrument usage logs to support compliance and audit requirements.
• Monitor and manage the budget for metrology equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.

Requirements:

• Strong electro-mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Basic working knowledge of SAP procedures and data entry (Desired)
• Familiarity with basic measurement principles and techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and specialized metrology software.
• History of effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
