Position Description
As a Continuous Improvement Consultant, you responsible for leading efforts that are focused on process improvements and service delivery advancements within the company and, in some cases, directly with clients. Additional responsibilities will include:

• Leading identified improvement efforts through all stages of the basic Six Sigma process (DMAIC) across various areas of the organization while providing leadership and guidance for the people who are attached to project (process owners, subject matter experts, technology specialist, etc.). Implementing improvement actions and measuring (certifying) the results. Improvements focus on improved service delivery to clients and/or improved organizational productivity/operating efficiency.
• Documenting via flowcharting existing processes, identifying fail points and developing solutions.
• Conducting data and other analysis to determine root causes of service performance failure.
• Researching possible solutions (in cooperation with IT or outside service delivery vendors).
• Identifying or conceptualizing process/system improvement.
• Calculating financial cost and benefits; validating results with process owners.
• Leading process improvement approval process (for IT based solutions).
• Developing improvement effort timelines, key mileposts and resource needs.
• Determining improvement exit points.
• Managing process improvement implementation, escalations, cost and scope.
• Providing coaching support to organization’s managers to support their improvement efforts.

Position Details:
Location: Sparks, MD
Salary: $85K-$105K, plus bonus.
Shift: Monday-Friday, normal hours.
Travel: Minimal

Requirements:
• Must have Six Sigma certification and experience leading continuous improvement projects.
• Must have 4 years of business experience in a service, financial or manufacturing or related environment.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree.
• Must be able to work on project teams with a focus on desired outcomes.
• Project management experience is a plus.
• Must be able to work independently while managing one or more active improvements.
• Must be able to successfully interface with all levels and areas of the organization. Establish close working relationships with key areas of interface.
