Job Description

As a Field Support Technician, you will eventually assume the additional function of Application Engineer, supporting the sales staff as needed. The basic duties and skills required for this position include:
• Travel to customer sites (mostly within the US) with occasional requirements for travel to one or more of our client’s factories in Germany, Ireland, Taiwan, Israel, Spain, or Czechoslovakia for training / product planning.
• Prepare for and anticipate business requirements; business-like demeanor and dress will be maintained at all times.
• Communicate with customers and/or their representatives; you should be well versed and articulate as well as possess a sense of what to and what not to say in any given situation. In other words, a sense of diplomacy and a “customer facing” personality.
• Get along well with others and be personable. This is a small company branch and it is imperative that a high level of trust and mutual respect is maintained. There is no room for "friction" between the employees to function effectively as a company.
