Position Details
A Cell Leader is responsible for providing leadership and direction in the execution of the daily production plan, ensuring compliance with company policies for safety and quality, while providing a high level of customer service. The Cell Leader ensures priorities and production goals are met by coaching and motivating team members and removing barriers to performance. The leader champions continuous improvement to optimize efficiency and capacity in assigned cell(s). As a member of the operational leadership team, the Cell Leader is focused on employee retention, developing a technically qualified workforce, reducing operating costs and maximizing profitable growth for the facility.

Essential Functions:

  • Build strong and meaningful relationships with all direct reports, along with other shop employees
  • Engage and empower team members in a positive manner to achieve team-oriented environment
  • Communicate to all team members clear expectations to plan
  • Lead daily manufacturing activities to achieve key performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies and best practices
  • Responsible for managing resources within cell(s) to achieve cost, quality, delivery and safety objectives
  • Ensure team members receive training on the technical aspects of manufacturing processes, CI methodologies, tools, and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prioritize cross training of employees to allow for flexing of the workforce to ensure deadlines and objectives are met
  • Investigate root causes, communicate findings and initiate corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence
  • Lead and facilitate CI projects and ensure sustainment through coaching and regular audits

Skills & Experience Requirements:

Position Details
An opening currently exists for 1st and 2nd shift Loaders in our Bossier City, LA facility. In this role, you will be responsible for fulfilling orders, preparing them for delivery and safely loading product.

  • Identifies and pulls product to fulfill orders
  • Ensures quality and quantity of product being loaded
  • Determines how to properly structure loads to facilitate drop sequence unloading and to ensure required weight distribution and damage prevention through delivery process
  • Scan & reconcile product to loaded trailer to ensure complete shipment
  • Clear packaged product from all production lines to avoid stopping production
  • Comfortable with working on loaded trailers at evaluated heights
  • Unloads incoming product and completes proper paperwork

Experience/Skills:

  • 3 months+ experience in a shipping environment (1+ year experience)
  • Must have overhead crane experience
  • Safety oriented
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds repetitively
  • Ability to stand for duration of shift

Position Details
An opening currently exists for a Maintenance Technician in our Sunnyvale, TX facility. In this role, you will be responsible for fulfilling orders, preparing them for delivery and safely loading product.

Some of the essential functions of this position are:

  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, power tools.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine to changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs and straightedges.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices, using hand tools.
  • Starts devices to test their performance - troubleshoots & identifies issues
  • Lubricates and cleans parts - as part of structured equipment/machinery PM program.
  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, plasma cutter, band & chop saws, and other metal working tools to make and repair parts.
  • Standard facility/grounds upkeep
  • Ability to perform basic welding is a plus

Some of the requirements of this position are:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a mechanical/maintenance-related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic electronic maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic hydraulic maintenance.
  • Must have the ability to work extended hours, as needed

Position Details
McElroy is searching for a Manufacturing Supervisor in our Bossier City, LA manufacturing facility. We are looking for motivated individuals who enjoy working on and eventually leading a team. The Manufacturing Supervisor, under direction from the Production Manager, will assist with oversight for the day-to-day shop activities, meet production deadlines, and provide leadership to the manufacturing & shipping teams. Length of ‘trainee' status depends on overall capabilities & performance of the candidate

Position Details:

  • Utilization of company software systems (JDE, Lean Work Bench, Scheduling/Loading Dashboard, Ship Track, P2P/Uptime, etc.) to support daily production, loading, and customer service requirements
  • Executes daily scheduling of production, assignment of raw materials, and said completion of production requirements
  • Responsible for the accurate and daily completion of work center P2P (Productivity) documentation, along with ensuring teams meet target productivity goals
  • As a member of the leadership Safety team, is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring all safety and quality inspections are completed
  • Ensures start / stop times are adhered to and efficient use of all resources is utilized.
  • Supports and guides Lean initiatives (CI) and helps develop the overall Lean strategy to be implemented and sustained
  • Assists in establishing team goals, provides training, and tracks key performance metrics to ensure continuous improvement
  • Assists in managing production employees to include developing team members, employment decisions, and performance assessments. · Ensures cross training of all team members, across all job functions, to optimize capabilities of the team
  • Has oversight on shipping team to ensure on time completion of outbound loads, with 100% accurate fill rates
  • Empowers team members in a positive manner to drive team's success
  • Ensures plant-wide Best Practice Standards and housekeeping requirements are maintained.
