As a Quality Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
• Responsible for the development, publishing and implementation of quality planning on specifically assigned products.
• Ensure all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) documents are updated timely and correctly.
• Assist teams in customer corrective measures, using customer formats.
• Provide training and technical direction related to quality, to operators in assigned products.
• Effectively manage quality systems (both customer and internal) on assigned products.
• Point of contact for the customer base when possible quality issues arise or special customer requests are made.
• Jointly responsible, along with program team, for development of functional quality standards.
• Jointly responsible for enforcing quality standards, both functional and aesthetic with manufacturing personnel.
• Maintain assigned product quality plans through routine audits.
• Ensure that statistical process capability studies on assigned products and critical processes are performed; coordinate efforts to correct process capabilities.
• Evaluate and certify customer samples and maintain sample records.
• Keep Manufacturing and others concerned with assigned products fully informed on all problem areas.
• Assist in preparation for customer visits.
• Contact suppliers about nonconforming parts and return them.
• Assist in the analysis of scrap and rework for final disposition.

Position Details
Location: Iowa City, IA

Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or 4-6 years quality experience.
• Certified Quality Engineer and TS16949 experience preferred.
• Good communication and listening skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• PC literate.
• Vision 20/40 corrected.
• Ability to distinguish colors and hues.
• Tolerance to temperature extremes.
