Plant Details

Plant Overview


This is a Fully Integrated Plant, meaning most of the battery manufacturing process happens on-site. Key operations at this location include:

  • Pasting - where lead paste is applied to battery grids to create the plates that store energy.
  • COS (Cast-On-Strap) - where the plates are connected with cast-on metal straps to form the battery's internal structure.
  • Formation - the process of charging the battery for the first time to activate it.
  • Shipping - preparing and sending finished batteries to customers.

Pay:

  • $20/hr with the opportunity to earn an average of $24/hr+ with weekly incentive pay after completing your training.
  • Employees often achieve an average of $80K/Year

Bonus: Potential to earn a 4% bonus based on the overall performance of the plant


Shifts: This role requires the ability to work any shift (day, swing, or graveyard) based on operational needs. Week-to-week scheduling may vary, and flexibility is essential.

  • Days 7:00am - 3:30pm or 7:30am - 4:00pm
  • Swing 3:00pm - 11:30pm or 3:30pm - 12:00am
  • Graveyard 11:00pm - 7:30am or 11:30pm - 8:00am (Start up Sunday night)

What You Will Do:
In this position you will operate automated and semi-automated production machines to manufacture automotive batteries. In addition, operators make minor adjustments during troubleshooting, recognize and diagnose machine problems, and participate in operator preventative maintenance of equipment such as cleaning, greasing, and replacing small parts. Perform visual inspection of machines for quality or productivity problems. Perform required quality checks as trained.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery by controlling and adjusting machine settings, feed raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
  • Verify that product meets quality standards and keep records of approved and defective units
  • Clean equipment, tools, etc. and surrounding area between jobs.
  • Follow all safety, quality and production specifications, instructions, written and verbal.

What We're Looking For:

  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Comfortable working 12+ hour days.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.
  • Ability to work in a hot environment.
  • Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands.
  • Must be able to wear required PPE.

What You Will Do:
You will be responsible for receiving, moving, and transporting raw materials, parts, and packing materials to designated locations throughout the plant using forklifts and other equipment. You may also perform inventory tracking and assist with warehouse organization.


Daily Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklift, pick orders, stage material and load/unload trucks
  • Verify that product meets quality standards and keep records of approved and defective units
  • Clean equipment, tools, etc. and surrounding area between jobs.
  • Follow all safety, quality and production specifications, instructions, written and verbal.

What We're Looking For:

  • 1+ year(s) of forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting required.
  • Previous certification on stand-up or sit-down forklifts, with willingness to be recertified.
  • Comfortable working 12+ hour days.
  • Ability to stand/walk for long period of time.
  • Ability to work in a hot environment.
  • Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic math, reading and writing skills.
  • Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Pay:

  • Up to $45.77/HR with room to grow based on experience and state certifications!
  • Built-in increases twice a year!

Bonus: Potential to earn a 4% bonus based on the overall performance of the plant! Annual retention bonuses, including additional 40 hours of PTO after 1 year (56 hours, pro rated based on start date; becomes 96 Hours after January 1st)!


Shifts:

  • Compressed 3/4/4/3 (3 days on/4 days off/4 days on/3 days off)
  • Continuous Night Shift 6:00PM - 6:30AM

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Emphasis on safe work practices, adherence to LOTO procedures and use of PPE.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing machinery, conveyors, and robotics.
  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
  • May be required to set up and operate one or all of the following machines: lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, power saws, etc.
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to assure maximum equipment functionality.
  • Adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Mechanical and electrical repair knowledge.
  • Understanding of motor control circuitry (VFDs, soft starts etc.).
  • Working experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical (120, 208, and 480 VAC circuits), and preventive maintenance in manufacturing.
  • Experience with conveyors, electronics, PLC hardware and ladder logic required.
  • Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience preferred but is not a requirement.
