Keynote Address at the San Diego Event

Mike Stevens

Keynote Speaker Address Given by 13th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy and CEO of the Navy League of the United States – Sunday, February 4 at 5:30pm PT

Mike Stevens, CEO for the Navy League of the United States, will serve as the keynote speaker at the San Diego Distinguished Candidate Conference on Sunday, February 4th. Mike retired from the U.S. Navy in 2016 after serving as the 13th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, the senior enlisted advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations and to the Chief of Naval Personnel.

At this event, Mike will discuss:

  • The importance of transitioning to meaningful work post-military, and why it’s vital to find the right fit.
  • How the shortage of workers in key industries like manufacturing is creating high demand for veterans and enlisted personnel, in particular.
  • How veterans like you can continue supporting national security and create great careers in the defense industrial base, advanced manufacturing, and energy industry.

Don't miss this opportunity to learn from an experienced mentor who possesses a deep understanding of military life, from junior enlisted ranks to the top enlisted rank in the Navy, as well as what it takes to make a successful transition into the civilian workforce.

DoD SkillBridge Opportunities

This event is also open to active-duty military personnel seeking SkillBridge internships!

Through SkillBridge, companies offer internships during a service member's last 180 days of active-duty service, providing hands-on experience and industry exposure, while allowing transitioning service members the opportunity to explore and train in their chosen field before their official separation from the military, all while still receiving military compensation and benefits.

Whether you'd like to participate in a SkillBridge internship or you're ready for full-time civilian employment, there is no better opportunity to interview with Orion's top clients than our Distinguished Candidate Conference (DCC).
